Welcome to the Prince of Wales, run by Gary and Jenny - a friendly family pub at the heart of the hamlet of Green Tye, near the village of Much Hadham.

Set in the pleasant, rural East Hertfordshire landscape three miles from Bishops Stortford, our unique nineteenth-century pub has a beer garden and a large car park.

We are ideally located for visiting the Henry Moore Foundation and St Elizabeth’s Centre both adjacent at Perry Green.

We serve a range of real ales (including Green Tye Brewery specials), lagers and ciders, as well as a lunchtime bar menu. Early evening food is available only by prior booking.

Regular events include beer festivals and live music nights.

Takeaway beers and outside bars can be provided.

A marquee adjoining the pub can be arranged for private functions.

Walkers and cyclists exploring the local leafy lanes are very welcome to stop for a break to enjoy our lunchtime home-cooked food, or just a cool refreshing drink.

Advance notice of large groups is appreciated and will avoid delays.

In the winter months a real log fire in the main bar provides real warmth and a warm atmosphere.
